KALISPELL- Five former Flathead High School athletes and coaches were honored as FHS legends during the 2012 Wall of Fame induction ceremony.
The Legends Stadium Selection Committee chose the candidates based on their athletic success, contributions to the community, and academic achievements and all five inductees will have their pictures displayed on the Wall of Fame at Legends stadium.
We talked with one inductee who said he has been going to Braves games since he was a little kid and being recognized as an outstanding athlete in his own hometown, he says, is an honor
"It was a dream come true to play for the Braves. And then to have success like I did, and then to have it recognized- I've got to tell you, I'm extremely humbled, very touched, and very appreciative to be named to the Hall of Fame," Former FHS football player and Nebraska Co-captain Mark Gilman said.
Alice Ritzman, Bob Raeth, Scott Zanon, and Jamison Banna were also honored at the ceremony.
