KALISPELL- Statistics show that over 10 million people visited Montana last year, and on Tuesday the Flathead Summer Events Expo hosted booths and a financial report on tourism for local businesses to learn how to get their share.
Reports show many visitors come to the area for scenic driving and wildlife photography, and Canadians often come to shop. Expo booths advertised recreation, art opportunities and events in the summer season.
"There's so much going on that it's important that we learn that, and we're all good ambassadors for our visitors to really explain to them all there is to do here in the summer," Kalispell Convention and Visitor Bureau Director Diane Medler said.
Medler added that the first Picnic in the Park at Kalispell Depot Park kicks off Tuesday at 7 p.m. with live music from Fresh Ink.
