KALISPELL- A Kalispell woman, who initially claimed innocence on felony charges of child abuse, changed her plea on Thursday.

Samantha French, 20, pleaded guilty to one count of assault on a minor after her child was admitted to the ICU last year.

Doctors discovered bruises on her daughter's face and hand, hemorrhaging in both eyes and bleeding of the brain.

French, who later admitted grabbing the baby when she wouldn't take a bottle, will be sentenced in September.
