KALISPELL- Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks game wardens are offering up several thousand dollars in reward money for information that helps them solve a deer poaching case.

Game wardens have been looking for information that will lead to the conviction of person(s) involved in the illegal shooting of at least 19 deer in a two-year period in the Whitefish area.

FWP reports that the animals were shot and then left to rot with some of the antlers also being taken.

Most shootings occurred at night on Farm to Market Road, Twin Bridges Road, Voerman Road, Monegan Road and other back roads in the Whitefish area, according to a news release.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Flathead Crimestoppers hotline at (406) 752.8477 or 1.800.TIPMONT.

A significant reward of $4450 is being offered for information that leads to a conviction in the case, with FWP officials adding that the reward amount may be increased.
