Laura joined the KAJ News team in November 2010, after working at KPAX, in Missoula, for nearly a year.

Laura is a multi-media journalist, covering both news and sporting events. She graduated from the University of Montana in May of 2010, where she earned an SPJ award in Television Sports Reporting and Television In-Depth Reporting.

Her true passion is shooting and reporting sports from the sidelines, but she also enjoys covering breaking news and producing in-depth community stories.

Growing up in Evergreen, Colorado, Laura says that Denver's eccentric sports atmosphere is responsible for making her the sports fanatic that she is today. In high school, she never missed a Denver Broncos game, whether it was watching it on TV or watching it live at Invesco Field.

Laura tries to get outdoors as much as possible and enjoys hiking, snowboarding, camping, wakeboarding, and rafting. She loves living somewhere where all of those things are close by.

She says her mom's creativity and her dad's competitive nature have helped her become a good journalist.
