MISSOULA - A high-tech solar power and LED company could be bringing a significant number of high-paying jobs to Missoula.

City officials say the American company is considering building a manufacturing facility here and Missoula Area Economic Executive Director talked to us about what the addition to the local economy could mean.

"It's a new company on the cutting edge of solar, alternative energy and energy conservation. They are looking at Montana and are considering Missoula, Butte and Billings."

King says attracting this business would be a healthy boost to the local economy and create over a hundred well-paying green technology jobs.

The company's LED and solar lights are energy efficient and used in everything from streetlights to consumer electronics.

Missoula County, city and University of Montana officials will host the company's leaders next week.
