MISSOULA- A Lolo woman was arrested Wednesday after deputies responded to her home twice in two weeks for reports that she couldn't find her child. Amber Pier is now facing three counts of misdemeanor child endangerment charges.
Prosecutors say deputies responded to Pier's home on Wednesday after she reported that her 4-year-old son ran away and she didn't know where he was. Deputies responded and found the boy in the backyard and he told them that he went to the store across the street by himself.
Prosecutors say the week before, deputies responded to Pier's home after someone reported that she was too intoxicated to take care of her three kids.
During a Wednesday afternoon court appearance, Pier told the judge she's using state resources to get her life back on track. The judge released her, on orders she could only have supervised contact with her children, who are currently in the custody of the Montana Department of Child and Family Services.
