MISSOULA- The man who is accused of raping an 18-year-old woman near the Canyon River Golf Course in East Missoula appeared in Missoula Justice Court Wednesday afternoon.

Zachary Adam Blair, 33, is charged with rape and providing alcohol to minors.

Missoula Police say the rape happened in a parking area on Deer Creek Road, where Blair, the alleged victim and several others were drinking on the beach for most of the day.

Blair and the alleged victim went to get more beer on Tuesday night and when they got into his car, Blair allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Witnesses told police Blair put his elbow against the woman's throat and then put his hand down her pants.

The judge set Blair's bail at $20,000.
