MISSOULA - A 20-year-old Missoula man faces several charges after a 911 call came in from a concerned acquaintance, who said the suspect was coming over to his house with a gun.
Missoula Police Captain Scott Hoffman says the call came in just after 3 p.m. Sunday, and officers later spotted the suspect, riding a bicycle near Scott Street and West Broadway.
Authorities asked the man to stop, but he refused and a five mile pursuit began, as the suspect weaved through traffic on his bike.
The suspect jumped off his bike, starting running and reportedly reached for his waistband. Officers fired a warning shot and the suspect stopped.
The man was arrested and faces several charges including obstruction of a peace officer, probation violation and possible other charges, such as possession of a weapon. Police are still trying to determine if the suspect had a gun.
