MISSOULA - The man who dropped off the "suspicious box" in the Missoula Police parking lot is facing a misdemeanor charge.
Brian Kitts, 24, is being charged with disorderly conduct for the incident.
Missoula Police say the report of the package came in just after 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. The hazardous materials team, the bomb squad and other area emergency crews worked to figure out what was inside the box.
Later in the evening, Haz Mat technicians determined the contents of the package to be an iced tea container with iced tea inside.
Police say the writing on the box had messages about nuclear weapon and hazardous chemical material being inside the box. The writing on the box also said "goodnight."
Kitts turned himself in to police on Monday evening and was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.
