MISSOULA- A man accused of shooting an East Missoula gas station clerk last month has pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder.

Christopher Burch is also facing a robbery charge, while his alleged getaway driver, Preston James Hanna is charged for being his accomplice.

Investigators say on Sept. 7, Burch walked into the Ole's gas station in East Missoula with a rifle and demanded money from the store clerk, Adam Gallegos.

Gallegos said "no" and that's when he was shot, suffering several major internal injuries, including the loss of his right lung.

Survelliance video shows a man walking into the store with a gun, firing it and leaving.
