KALISPELL- A Flathead Valley man will spend three years on probation after pointing a rifle at his girlfriend while being surrounded by police. Jeffrey Kikendall, 36, was found guilty of Assault with a Weapon in Flathead County District Court Thursday afternoon.
Flathead County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a man chasing his girlfriend with his vehicle while in possession of a rifle last August and law enforcement saw Kikendall point a loaded rifle at his girlfriend through an open window of their residence. Kikendall also made a statement about killing his girlfriend and was later tased after failing to follow the officer's commands.
Judge Ortley issued Kikendall to a three year deferred imposition of sentence which means he will be on probation for the next three years. The conviction will be removed from his record if he has no violations by the end of that term.
