KALISPELL- An Illinois man will spend one year on probation for endangering a girl who was brutally attacked by four American Bulldogs at a Creston home.
Timothy Standiford, 31, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor negligent endangerment today in Flathead County District Court.
He received a suspended sentence of one year in the Flathead County Detention Center.
Last December, a 7-year-old girl was treated for deep cuts after being attacked by the dogs while playing in a yard at a home Standiford leased on Riverside Road in Creston.
When law enforcement investigated the scene they smelled marijuana coming from a detached shop on the property, and found 71 illegal marijuana plants, digital scales, and grow lights.
Standiford was originally charged with criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, but that charge was dismissed today in exchange for his guilty plea to negligent endangerment.
The girl's father, Jonathon Banonis, pleaded guilty to criminal drug manufacture in June.
