MISSOULA- The Missoula Maulers played in a league championship series for the first time Friday night and they would like a do-over.

A 4-1 loss at home put the boys in black and blue in an immediate hole and they traveled to Helena for game two on Saturday.

The Bighorns took the NORPAC crown and the National championship a year ago, but the Maulers finished first in the standings this season.

There were 10 minutes left in the first when Balasz Goz missed but Alex DeWitz followed up with a goal to put Helena up 1-0.

The Maulers tied the game at 2 with only 21 seconds left in regulation, but Helena took the game in overtime 3-2, taking a two game lead in the best-of-seven series.
