Missoula health officials are planning to shut down its free vaccination clinic which has been being held at the Western Montana Fairgrounds on Thursday, January 28th.

But, the free H1N1 vaccinations will still be offered at the Health Department office on a walk in basis. The Health Department is located at 301 West Alder Street in Missoula.

To find out more information on the H1N1 and seasonal flu, call the Missoula City-County Health Department at (406) 258.4636.

The Health Department particularly is encouraging children of all ages and their families to get vaccinated.

And although 2009 H1H1 influenza is currently on the decline in both Montana and the nation as a whole, it will likely continue through the winter and early Spring.

Statistics show that approximately 20,000 doses have been given out to Missoula County residents.
