Missoula County police blotter

MISSOULA - Here's a look at some of the incidents that authorities have recently responded to across Missoula County. The information is provided by the Missoula County Sheriff's Office.

A driver was arrested for Aggravated DUI after deputies discovered him asleep at the wheel on Montana Highway 200 in front of the Bonner Mill on March 27.

An East Missoula woman reported that she had allowed a female acquaintance to stay with her at no cost, but her guest overstayed her welcome. Upon moving out her items, the female acquaintance stole a .22 caliber rifle and pawned it for $100. The victim found the rifle by calling local pawn shops and was able to determine the whereabouts of the suspect. Deputies found her in East Missoula on April 1 and placed her under arrest for theft, as well as for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies responded to an alarm at Larry's Six Mile Bar on Sunday morning in Huson. The suspects got in through a bathroom window and attempted to break into the cash register and also into the keno machines. Some cash was taken, and authorities are still looking for more information in the case.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding near the Wye on March 31, and authorities spotted several beer bottles strewn about the back seat. The driver admitted to drinking 12 beers at a bar and was arrested with a BAC above .160% - which is double the limit in Montana.

A resident on Matthew Street reported that a woman had taken his truck without permission on March 28. The truck was later found in Spokane when the woman was arrested there on unrelated charges.

Deputies responded to a welfare check on male who was reportedly lying in the middle of the street on McClure Road in Arlee on April 1. The male was arrested and taken to jail for being intoxicated while on Felony Probation

Two inmates at the Missoula County jail were charged on April 1 with Disorderly Conduct for getting into a fight.
