MISSOULA- Missoula County Sheriff Carl Ibsen said he terminated the detention officer who's accused of videotaping women in a dressing room at Splash Montana.
Ibsen says the investigation by his department was finished Tuesday, and after that Ibsen terminated Michael Gauci for violating the county's and the sheriff department's policies.
On Tuesday, prosecutors formally Gauci with burglary and tampering with evidence. Police say the women were in a family dressing room Saturday and Gauci hung a camera over the top of a stall and started videotaping them.
Police said when the women saw him, he took off and was stopped by the husband of one of the victims.
Investigators say Gauci told them this isn't the first time he's done something like this. Police found three videos of adult women at Splash Montana on Gauci's camera.
Gauci is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
