MISSOULA- A man was hospitalized Friday night after another man allegedly hit the victim with his car.

Missoula Police Corporal Mick McCarthy said officers originally responded to the area of Strand Avenue and Regent Street to a report of an accident at 11:40 p.m.

Upon further investigation, officers determined 34-year-old John Michael Lorengo of Missoula and the victim - also from Missoula - had gotten in an argument. Lorengo then allegedly got into his vehicle and hit the victim.

Lorengo is charged with felony Assault With A Weapon, Fail To Stop Immediately At Accident Scene - Injured Person, and Violation Of A Protective Order - 1st Offense.

McCarthy said the victim is recovering at a local hospital and the incident remains under investigation.
