The Chouteau County Sheriff has released the name of the first person to die on Montana roads this New Year.

Curtis Dean Denny, 25, was living in Missoula and recently moved back to Box Elder. The Montana Highway Patrol reports that Denny died just before 10:00 Friday night near Box Elder.

It's believed he over-corrected on Duck Creek Road in Choteau County, south of Havre, and rolled over several times before being ejected.

Authorities say that Denny had been drinking and speeding and was not wearing a seat belt.
