MISSOULA - It's a sure sign of winter - a popular Missoula ski hill has opened for the season. Snowbowl got the lifts running at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, and say they've got 30" of snow at the summit.
The top of the mountain will be the only area open, so that means the number of skiers who can hit the slopes will be limited. Three of the four lifts are open, with 11 of the 40 runs ready to go.
The ski area will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. of Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for now, and to mark the start of the season, day tickets are reduced to $30 for adults, students and seniors. It'll cost $15 for kids to hit the slopes.
