MISSOULA- No place had more competitors in action on Saturday than the Grizzly pool as over 200 high school swimmers from all over the state took some laps at the Missoula Swimming Invitational.

It's the last home meet for Missoula's seniors, and also one of their last tuneups for next month's state championships.

Starting in the the boys 50-yard freestyle sprint, Glacier's Logan Streit touched the wall first in 23.50 seconds with Hellgate's John Szekely ending up second, less than half a second behind.

The girls 100 freestyle saw Hellgate's Kate Michell hang on barely for a win over CMR's Kim Massey- 58.02 seconds to 58.18 seconds.

In the boys 100, we've got another great finish as Bozeman's Orion Kubat reached out to beat Streit by 25 hundreths, finishing in 51.36.

The girls 100 butterfly was where Butte's Lew Yong Gerbrandt dominated, touching the wall in 58.07, beating Hellgate's Brenna Saffel by more than four seconds.

The Hellgate girls ran away to the title, easily beating CMR and Great Falls. And on the boys side, the Bison of Great Falls end up in first with Bozeman second and the Knights of Hellgate finishing third.
