Local professionals and river enthusiasts will also announce their plans to develope a second surf wave in the Garden City during Tuesday's event.

Competitors started descending on Missoula over the weekend hitting the water and getting ready for this week's event.

The Garden City is the sixth and final event in the series sponsored by USA Freestyle Kayaking and also is serving as the National Championships.
