MISSOULA- A Missoula woman has been charged with DUI and criminal endangerment for driving drunk into a home while her two sons were in the car with her. The incident happened Sunday at around 8 p.m. at the intersection of South Avenue and Bancroft Street near Sentinel High School.
Witnesses say Jana Lorenz's Grand Am was speeding and did not stop for a blinking red light. They say Lorenz's car was traveling too fast for the right turn and ended up crashing through a fence and then hitting the home.
Court documents state that Lorenz told police she dropped off her 6-year-old son at a daycare and then went two Missoula bars were she drank several beers. She said she picked up her son and was on her way home, when she got into the accident.
The child and Lorenz's 22-year-old son, who was also a passenger, suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
Lorenz has been charged with Criminal Endangerment, Driving Under the Influence and a Flashing Signal Violation.
