WALLACE, ID - A 27-year-old Missoula woman ended up the hospital after her Subaru was struck head-on by semi truck along Interstate 90 outside of Wallace, Idaho.
Idaho State Police report that the driver of semi, Yuriy Kushniruk,30, of Vanconver, Washington, was traveling too fast for road conditions when he lost control of his rig near mile marker 63 on I-90.
Kushniruk was headed eastbound on the freeway when he lost control on the slushy road and struck the center median barrier. The truck then went up and over the barrier and struck the vehicle being driven by Kate Cummings, 27, head-on.
The semi truck then caught fire but was extinguished quickly according to the Idaho State Police.
Cummings was transported to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'alene following the crash and there's no immediate word on how badly hurt she was in the accident.
The ISP reports there were also two children traveling with Cummings, but their names and ages have been released.
