MISSOULA- The Montana Food Bank Network will be hosting a mobile food pantry at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds this Friday because the county is in great need for supplemental food assistance.
The distribution is being done with the cooperation of the Ravalli County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
The Mobile Food Pantry is a program by which, MFBN, using its "gap analysis", determines areas of the state that are currently under-served and food distributions are scheduled for the community.
Ravalli County has several food pantries serving the area, but has such a great need for supplemental food assistance that more help is necessary at this time.
There will also be information on a variety of programs available to clients including SNAP, WIC, and Summer Food Outreach as well as representatives from Healthy MT Kids and Early Head Start, helping to connect families with these valuable resources.
