European leaders meet Monday to discuss Greece's new austerity plan and investors are hopeful Greece will seal the long-awaited bailout deal needed to avoid bankruptcy.
The Dow Jones Industrials are within striking distance of 13,000 as investors are encouraged by recent reports that point to a recovering economy. During Friday's trading session the Dow rose 46 to its highest level since May of 2008. The NASDAQ dipped eight points but is still at a 10 year high.
Expect to pay more for beef thanks to the smallest cattle herd in 60 years combined with rising demand that are expected to push beef prices up 5% or more in the coming months. That's more than any other food group except seafood.
There's no dorm room for one co-ed. A Russian billionaire has bought the most expensive apartment in New York City for his daughter, a 22-year-old college student. The penthouse apartment overlooking central park has sold for a record $88 million. The four bedroom apartment with roof garden and wrap around terrace used to be the home of former Citigroup head Sandy Weill.
