KALISPELL- An investigation into Saturday afternoon's plane crash in Kalispell is underway with federal transportation officials trying to determine what caused a small plane to crash shortly after taking off from the city airport. The male pilot and two female passengers all walked away with minor injuries after the aircraft crashed upside down into a house on Golden Eye Court.

During January Best Buy slashed prices and helped Missoulians find the right screen for their team. Store employees say the big screens are getting cheaper.

BUTTE- A pair of Montana Tech students are behind bars after being accused of firing shots near campus and prompting a lockdown early Sunday. Police say a SWAT team was called to a West Granite Street home just after 2 a.m. when the men refused to let police inside the home.

GREAT FALLS- An inmate reportedly tried to hang himself at the Cascade County Detention Center on Sunday. Details about the incident are limited, but detention center staff were able to confirm with us that there was an incident on Sunday, but have not yet confirmed whether the inmate died.

HELENA- While a deadline change for some hunting permits means more prep time for some, it also means less time for the state to gather solid population data. Hunting districts that require a special permit now have a March 15th application deadline instead of the usual June 1st, including bull elk and buck mule deer permits.

Chrissy Kohler's StormTracker Weather Center forecast: This morning, we had some clouds move in to Western Montana, which helped us out in two ways. One: our temperatures didn't drop quite as cold as they should have with morning lows only in the upper teens and lower 20s. Two: it prevented an inversion from building in which means fog isn't a factor for the Monday morning commute. And that also means we're going to see plenty of sunshine through the rest of the day.
