The man who dropped off the "suspicious box" in the Missoula Police parking lot on Monday is facing a misdemeanor charge. Brian Kitts, 24, has been charged with disorderly conduct for the incident. Police say the report of the package came in just after 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. The hazardous materials team, the bomb squad and other area emergency crews worked to figure out what was inside the box. Later in the evening, Haz Mat technicians determined the contents of the package to be an iced tea container with iced tea inside.

PPL Montana has confirmed that one person has died at Rainbow Dam after an accident on Tuesday morning. Initial reports shortly after 8:00 a.m. indicated that one worker, who has only been identified as a sub-contractor, was trapped underneath a truck. It is not yet known how the accident occurred; the victim's name has not yet been released. The dam is in the midst of a renovation project.

Billings fire crews were busy early Tuesday morning after several fires were reported in the Magic City. Just after 4 a.m., a structure fire was reported on South 28th Street. The blaze was quickly extinguished, but the fire caused moderate to severe damage to the shed and its contents. The Billings Fire Department also responded to three other early morning fires. A rubbish fire was reported on North 23rd Street and two other trash fires were also extinguished.

Missoula Mayor John Engen will be joining community volunteers in helping to raise money for A Carousel for Missoula on Thursday. Volunteers will become "Helping Hands" to cook up some funds and fun at HuHot Mongolian Grill on Brooks Street from 5-9 p.m. The Helping Hands volunteers will display their culinary skills behind HuHot's enormous grill to benefit the Carousel. They will stir-fry meals of fresh meats, seafood, noodles, vegetables and unique sauces in the hope of receiving some generous tips for the cause.

Black Sandy State Park and the campground at Lake Mary Ronan State Park are now closed so that work can begin on some construction projects. Electrical pedestals will be installed at both campgrounds. Both projects are expected to last until early November. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says the improvements are being made possible thanks to federal funds earmarked to enhance sites used by motorboat users and sport fishermen.
