BOZEMAN- A local church helped people fill up their tanks today at a discounted price. It's the second Venture Church 'gas buy-down'.
Just like the first event last spring, the church paid 50 cents for every gallon purchased at the Conoco station on North Seventh in Bozeman from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.
Church members hope the buy down helps people realize churches are here to help.
"Anytime you get 50 cents off gas, especially with the economy like it is and gas prices going up, it's a blessing and that's what we've been trying to do is come up with creative ways to be a blessing to the community," Pastor Charlie Carpenter said.
Venture Church says they are planning another buy-down soon.
