GREAT FALLS- Members of a Hutterite colony in central Montana are speaking publicly about how the King Ranch Colony was portrayed in a National Geographic series.

The show is called "American Colony: Meet The Hutterities" and according to a release, the colony is demanding a public apology from National Geographic and asking that none of the 10 episodes ever be televised again.

Back in June, Hutterite bishops said the show portrayed Hutterites in an inaccurate manner and said that scenes were scripted.

At that time, Wesley Hofer - one of the people on the show - issued a release denying that the show was contrived.

"The notion that we were taken advantage of, as if we were innocent children, is nonsense," Hofer stated at the time.

But Hofer has since apologized for that statement and said in a testimonial.

"When the producers found our way of life too unexciting, they created the story lines and before we knew it, we were drawn into the process. For example, the scene where I was supposedly having a heart attack was all staged."

We've received a total of 20 testimonials from Colony members claiming the series was not an accurate portrayal.

In a Washington Post article, series producer Jeff Collins denied taking advantage of the colony.
