Authorities in Missoula are looking for a woman who hasn't been seen or heard from in nearly five months. Maria Schlienger, 22, told her mother she was going to hitchhike to Florida or Nevada back in May, but her family has not heard from her since then. Schlienger is described as being 5'7" tall, weighing around 155 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. Anyone who knows where Schlienger may be is asked to call Crimestoppers at (406) 721.4444.

Police are searching for two young males who attempted to steal beer from the Gilly's Gas station on Third Street West in Missoula last Sunday. Surveillance video released to the police show two men attempting to leave the store with a case of beer. The clerk told officers he tried to stop them and there was a "scuffle" and the boys ended up leaving without the beer. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at (406) 721.4444.

Authorities have identified the three people killed in a head-on collision in northeastern Montana involving a school bus and an SUV. Patricia Thorgaard, 70, of Circle, was driving a school bus on Montana Highway 200 Wednesday morning, when a Ford Explorer drifted into her lane and hit her head-on. She died at the scene. Timothy Haskey, 42, of Lacrosse, Wisconsin was the driver of the SUV. He and his passenger, Stephanie Ellingson, 27, also of Lacrosse, died on the scene as well.

The 18th annual Haz Waste Days event is set to take place on Friday and Saturday at the Scott Street City Shops. Residents are being get rid of unneeded or unusable hazardous chemical products such as pesticides, poisons, oil-based paints and solvents. The Scott Street City Shops are located at the intersection of Scott and Turner (Click here to see a map) and the hours for the collection are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, September 10th, and 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11th.

UM officials have announced the lecture by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder that was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 15th in Missoula has been postponed. The talk is in the process of being rescheduled, and the date will be released as soon as it is set.

From the StormTracker Weather Center: Western Montana will see some persistent rain today with temperatures in the upper 50's. We can expect to see up to an inch of rain in the valleys and up to two inches in higher elevations. Also, southwest Montana is likely to see snow in elevations of 7,000 feet or higher.
