MISSOULA - The weather is moving from sunny and warm to rainy and cool, a sure sign the fall season is not far away which means it's time for an autumn adventure at the Missoula Maze.
They designed Missoula hay and corn maze on Clements Road to be baffling and bewildering! It features narrow walkways, with even more twists and turns, and questions must be answered to navigate you through. You can take the ultimate challenge and come after dark for the Night Maze. That's when the maze goes "clueless" and all self-guiding markers are removed. Click here to learn more.
Find your way to the second Annual Ronan Harvest Fest on Saturday where you can participate in the Chicken Wing/Ding Challenge, Chili Cook-Off or Dessert Bake-Off. The kids can test their skills in the Zucchini Races or Pumpkin Bowling. The event is being held at the Ronan Community Fair Grounds with the proceeds going to support the Ronan Area Chamber of Commerce.
Will the newest cast member of Missoula's carousel be "Puff, the Magic Dragon"? Find out Saturday morning when staffers introduce its newest addition to the public for the first time. A Carousel for Missoula has been operating for 15 years with ponies, but after six years of work, a dragon will now join the herd. (see related story)
The University of Montana's SpectrUM Discovery Area will showcase its unique blend of science education and interactive exploration at the first-ever "Weird Science Dance Party" to help mark five years of community support, Friday's festivities will feature live music, a laser light show...and much more!
The Missoula Model Railroad Club will present its 31st Annual Train Show and Swap Meet on Sunday at Big Sky High School. You can see model trains, railroad antiques, collectibles, memorabilia, books and much more! It's all for sale or trade and ticket prices range from $1 to $3 while kids under the age of six are free.
