Montana's unemployment rate took a turn for the better last month.
The state's jobless rate dropping three tenths of a point - down to 6.4 percent in October.
That's an improvement over September's jobless rate of 6.7 percent.
Nationwide, unemployment is averaging 10.2 percent, it's highest point in 26 years.
All total, 29 states showed small increases in unemployment , while 13 states saw their jobless rates go down.
Eight states remained steady.
Michigan leads the nation with the highest unemployment rate at 15.1%.
North Dakota has the lowest unemployment - at 4.2 percent.
