MISSOULA- Authorities have released the name of the Missoula man who died in a rollover crash on Interstate 90 Sunday near Frenchtown.
Missoula County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Jason Johnson says in a news release that Derek Ross Nelson, age 22, was pronounced dead at the crash scene by a Missoula County Deputy Coroner.
The driver of the vehicle, Marcus Sickles, 21, was thrown from the vehicle in the crash and was taken to St. Patrick Hospital for treatment, but there's now word on his condition at this time.
Johnson adds that the black Chevy truck involved in the crashed has been linked to a criminal mischief case that took place in Frenchtown just prior to the crash.
The truck and its occupants were identified and linked to the criminal mischief case by witness descriptions of the two men and the truck which bared a "Metal Militia" sticker in the windshield.
Johnson says Sickles is expected to be charged by Missoula County for Criminal Mischief, but any additional charges resulting from the crash will be filed by the Montana Highway Patrol.
