Nine horse owners saddled up on Saturday for a ride-a-thon to raise money for the Cascade County Relay for Life and trotted 22 miles along Tri-Hill Frontage Road.
Organizer Bobbie Hamilton said they not only raised $1,000, but also collected food for the Great Falls Food Bank.
"I just want everybody to be aware that cancer is a killer for people and the more people raise money, the more research that can be done," Hamilton said.
Along with riding her own horse, Hamilton also brought along the "tribute horse" which had a yellow ribbon around its neck.
The ribbon displayed about 40 names of those battling cancer or who have lost their lives to cancer.
