BILLINGS- The Billings Mustangs got off to a fast start in the first inning of Thursday night's game against the Missoula Osprey when Robert Maddox hit a RBI double to score Jesse Winker to make it 1-0. That would serve as the evening's game-winning run.

The Mustangs' pitching staff recorded their first shutout of the 2012 season as they held Missoula to just three hits Thursday night. Sal Romano got the start and dealt five shutout innings to earn his first victory.

After Romano's exit, Dan Langfield, Jimmy Moran, Jordan Remer, and Bennett Klimesh combined to throw four no-hit innings as Billings tacked on a run in the 5th and 8th to win it 3-0.

The Mustangs have now won three in a row after falling miserably opening day 13-3 and hit the road to Helena Friday to open up a three game series versus the Brewers.

The Osprey are now headed back to Missoula to host their home opener on Friday evening.
