THOMPSON FALLS- The Sanders County coroner has released the names of the two people killed in a head-on crash Saturday night. The victims are Jeremiah Bennett, 32, of Thompson Falls and his fiancé, Christina Jackson, 23, of Noxon.
The Montana Highway Patrol says at 10:30 pm on Highway 471, a 46-year-old Thompson Falls man driving a Toyota pickup collided head-on with the Saturn carrying the couple and two kids.
Bennett and Jackson both died on the scene and a 2-year-old boy and his 4-year-old sister were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The children are now with their mother.
The driver of the Toyota pickup also went to the hospital, but his condition is unknown at this time. Troopers are still investigating the crash.
