HELENA - Robin Korogi has been appointed as the new director for the VA Montana Healthcare System, which includes over 1,000 employees and encompasses 13 outpatient clinics, a 30-bed nursing home, and a 50-bed hospital.

Korogi stated, "I am humbled at this great opportunity to serve the staff and Veterans of the VA Montana Health Care System. I look forward to the new changes in VA which will provide opportunities to partner and collaborate with all our stakeholders. Equally, I'm excited to be a member of the VA team."

Korogi replaces Joe Underkofler, who retired in October after 37 years with the VA. Korogi previously served as the Associate Director at the VA Salt Lake City Health Care System, and has over 30 years of federal service, with 11 years in the Veterans Health Administration.

Korogi retired from the Air Force Reserves with 22 years of service and is a Veteran of Operation Desert Storm.

Her appointment is effective on February 14th.
