The Laurel Fire department is responding to a wildfire that's reported burning along Copper Flats road northwest of Billings.

The fire was first reported around 3:15pm, and smoke is now visible west of Billings.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Our MTN affiliate KTVQ in Billings has a crew headed to the scene.
