KALISPELL- The closing of Borders in Kalispell had some residents wondering where they would go for their favorite books, but as of this week, they won't have to travel far.
Bookworks has opened up its second location in Kalispell, this one in Depot Park Square. Te owner of the popular Whitefish bookstore, signed a lease in August to open up another store.
Staff say theyve had a good turnout so far and seen a lot of support from the community and they've been working on stocking their shelves and filling orders.
"I think they're excited about it and anxious to patronize a local business and independent bookstore. We will have every bit the selection that Borders had. We have a just a two-day turnaround on our special orders," Manager Cathy Malarchick said.
The new Bookworks is located next to Bonellis Bistro, kitty-corner to the Book Shelf.
