MISSOULA - A new online report from E Commerce Times says eighty-five percent of web surfers shop online. The creator of a new Missoula website says people are also shopping for communities online.

Montana native Carol Blodgett and ten other Missoulians launched makeitmissoula.com last week.

Blodgett says she realized most people were going to the web to help them relocate, rather than ordering relocation guides. So she decided to take her print version and put it online.

The new website targets three different audiences, those who live in Missoula, those who have lived in Missoula and those who would like to move to the Garden City.

Blodgett says the website covers everything Missoula, whether it's finding a church or finding a perfect pint of local beer, "from how you plug your kids into daycare and schools, how you navigate the medical arena, how you find resources available for starting a business or moving a business to Missoula. There's a lot of great information for a new mover but a lot of information for a local audience as well."

Blodgett says she hopes to explore other parts of Montana and represent them online as well.
