STEVENSVILLE- A two-acre fire is burning east of Stevensville up Ambrose Road on Bitterroot National Forest land.
Bitterroot National Forest Public Information Officer Tod McKay says the fire sparked Friday afternoon and two fire engines from the Stevensville Ranger District, a helicopter and one engine from a rural fire department are fighting the fire.
McKay says it's unknown at this time what sparked the blaze.
He added that two other fires sparked Friday afternoon on the Bitterroot National Forest, one is burning in the West Fork District and the other is in the Sula Ranger District.
At this time, he doesn't know how big those fires are.
