Wednesday afternoon winds are bringing a hazy, smoky day to the Missoula valley.

The National Weather Service in Missoula says the smoke is coming from fires burning in Southeast Oregon and Central Idaho.

Wind is moving from the south and west, bringing the smoke into Western Montana. Weather experts said the wind is moving fast, so the smoke shouldn't be lingering around too long.

The Missoula County Air Quality Hotline still says air quality is "good," but people with respiratory problems should take care and (click for link) monitor the visibility index for the quickest way to decide how dangerous conditions are.
