Watch for equipment, flaggers and other workers in all highway work zones and please obey all traffic signing.
Remember, fines are double in highway work zones for violations.
Montana laws also set fines and reckless endangerment of highway workers.
Expect to see law enforcement officers around work areas.
Bicyclists and motorcycles should use extreme caution in all construction areas.
US 2 - Libby (mp 29.9 to 33.9)
Crews continue replacing curbs, gutters, and sidewalks on the eastbound side of the project. They will begin work on the westbound side early next week.
Expect workers and equipment on or near the roadway, reduced speed limit of 25 mph, and single lane closures.
US 2 - Libby (mp 33.9 to 38.0) - inactive.
Kalispell Bypass (Airport Rd to US2)
Paving on the new Bypass road south of US2 is underway this week.
Watch for paving trucks entering US 2 and traveling on Meridian Road.
Expect reduced speeds of 25 mph, and possible short delays
Foys Lake Road traffic will be reduced to one lane controlled with a flagger through the end of the week.
Appleway Drive will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the Kalispell Bypass project. Businesses and residents will have continued access to Appleway via Meridian.
US 2 West - Kalispell Bypass Widening (mp 119.3 to 119.8)
Reconstruction operations continue with the focus of work on the shoulder areas.
Watch for workers and equipment on or near the roadway and expect a reduced speed limit of 45 mph.
Kalispell Bypass (US 93 to Airport Rd)
Crews will be working on the new bike path and southbound travel on US 93 will be reduced to single lane traffic within the work zone.
Starting Tuesday, October 5th, one southbound lane will be closed between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. daily, for the rest of this week.
Expect a reduced speed limit of 35mph northbound and southbound through this part of the Bypass project.
Watch for construction activity and equipment entering the roadway.
Expect detours, rough surfaces, loose gravel, reduced speeds of 35mph, and short delays.
Single lane closure on US 93 southbound in the vicinity of the project may be necessary at times.
MT 28 - Niarada to Lone Pine (mp 26.1 to 36.1)
Road and bridge reconstruction is near completion. Crews continue shaping the slopes, seeding, and signing.
Expect reduced speeds of 35 mph at times, delays of up to 5 minutes, and flaggers.
Watch for workers and equipment on, near, or crossing the highway.
At times, high winds may create poor visibility due to blowing dust.
MT 35 @ jct. Fairmont Road (mp 47.5 to 48.1)
Crews continue shoulder work in preparation of adding a left-turn lane to the intersection. The project is expected to take approximately one month.
Paving operations will take place on Monday and Tuesday, October 25th and 26th.
Expect a reduced speed limit of 35mph and watch for workers and equipment on or near the roadway.
MT 37 - California St.- Libby (US 2 to Kootenai River Bridge)-inactive.
Secondary 354 - 8 km South of Polson (Back Road, mp 5.5 to 12.6)
Crews continue reconstruction operations. The detour is no longer in effect. Work continues on the back road. Expect rough roadways.
Bothman Drive - Pipe Creek Bridge (4 mi North of Libby)-inactive.
