HAMILTON- In order to do your best, you have to be prepared in your environment.

That's why having the adequate amount of school supplies is setting Hamilton Middle School students up for success.

Thanks to One Class at a Time grant from Allegiance Benefit Plan Management and Montana's News Station, Linda Garstang's students are getting new trapper keepers, pencils and other materials.

Garstang says half way through the school year, most student's school supplies are damaged or lost, so the grant money really helps. She added it also builds the kid's confidence knowing they are prepared when they sit down for class.

"I think it boosts their morale, it's helps them be prepared and ready to go for class, instead of always scattering to try and find things. They're ready to go, they're teacher is ready to go and they're more attentive to what's going on," the special education teacher explained.
