Seeley Lake Elementary school is extending the beautification process outside their school and the One Class at a Time grant is helping them once again, this time with the installation of outdoor murals.
Jacqueline St. Peter's first grade students are getting their hands dirty and learning valuable skills as they paint castle and ocean themed scenes outside their classrooms.
St. Peter says painting helps their motor skills, but also helps them learn self-control, respect for others and to take pride in their hard work. The murals also offer the students a chance to see what goes into a larger art installation.
"Being able to do daily art projects in class is great, but then having a big project like this to really get the kids excited and motivated and involved in art is an awesome opportunity as well," St. Peter told us.
