MISSOULA- One check from the One Class at a Time program is almost as much as the Physical Education Department at Washington Middle School gets in one year.
Sixth grade teacher Greg Imhoff says the grant couldn't have come at a better time.
"We go through it quickly, because they are kids and they're 12 and they abuse it and it gets broken. We don't have a lot of money to replace it and we have a lot kids here and so it takes a lot of abuse."
CEO of Allegiance Benefit Plan Management Dirk Visser and General Manager of Montana's News Station Bob Hermes presented Imhoff $250 check.
He says his students are at the age where they really benefit from physical activity, especially with the allure of video games which keeps many kids sitting idle for too long. Imhoff added that he's excited to get new gear, especially enough hockey sticks to go around for everyone.
