ULM- The Montana Highway Patrol reports a horse was seriously injured after a pickup pulling a trailer veered off of Interstate 15 Saturday afternoon.

Passengers said they were traveling to Great Falls from Cascade when the trailer started swaying back and forth.

They originally reported the trailer rolled, but MHP confirms there is no evidence indicating it flipped. The hitch of the trailer jackknifed the back of the truck.

Four horses were checked on scene, one is reported to have serious injuries while both people in the pickup were uninjured in the crash.
