BROADUS- Around 500 residents in the Broadus area lost power last week due to fires in the area.

The city says 85% to 90% of residents were affected by the power outage but powerline crews continue to work on the issue.

Power was restored one mile west of the town and residents without power have seen generator donations from numerous businesses, towns and people outside the area.

There is no timetable as to when power will be completely restored.
