HELENA - A man who is wanted for an alleged shooting death in Boring, Oregon, on Thursday, has ties to Montana.
U.S. Marshals are searching for Dirck Morgan White, and have issued an all-points bulletin for him, and say that he is considered armed and dangerous.
White is the suspect in fatally shooting a Clackamas County employee on Feb. 6, and leaving him laying on the side of the road and running over him.
White, who has a long criminal history in Washington, is also wanted on a warrant for a weapons violation in Pierce County.
According to reports, Dirck White drove off in a four-door 2004 silver Mercedes 320 with Washington license plates ANB-7979.
Lewis & Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton told us that White may be headed to the Helena area, where he has family.
Dutton also says White knows the area very well, and confirmed that White was arrested on a DUI in the county in the past.
A search of his name shows he was arrested in Helena in August 2010 for assault, obstructing a police officer, and disorderly conduct after a bar fight at the Gold Bar.
Dutton says he has placed the area on alert and people who see the vehicle or Dirck should not approach him, but should call 911 immediately.
White also goes by several other aliases, including Luis Cruz, PeeWee, Mario Pouce, and Dirk White.
